End of the Age Is Here: Are You Ready?

The most important decision you will ever make in your life is who or what you put your faith in.

“When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” -Matthew 16:2

The days of Noah before the flood were characterized by pervasive wickedness, deceit, sexual immorality, violence, and coldness of hearts. The same wickedness existed in Sodom and Gomorrah.

The world at that time was going through each day doing the same thing and unaware of the approaching end. Approximately 150,000 people did not make it through today, and tomorrow the same thing will happen again.

When tragedy and disaster happens there is often this false idea that those affected did something wrong or perhaps God was angry with them. The truth is time ran out for them and any opportunity to repent has been lost forever.

Are You Being Deceived?

Do not make the mistake of believing that you are too smart or wise to be deceived. Eve was deceived by the serpent (Satan) in the garden of Eden and Adam listened to his wife. Why would they do something if they really believed that they would die.

Lies have the power to destroy you if you believe them. Believing the truth has the power to save you. How do you get forgiveness of your sins and eternal life? Believe God when he said salvation is only through his son Jesus Christ. Believe, obey, and be saved. Eternity is a long time!

“See to it that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” -Matthew 24

The Loud Call From Heaven: Change Your Direction

Turn now and make peace with God and do not wait until it is too late. You are not promised tomorrow so take that to heart. That was the mistake made during the time of Noah as well who did not listen to the pleas from Noah to repent and make peace with God. It is a tactic of the enemy (Satan) to distract you with the problems of this world and your wants until time runs out for you.

It is like a fire coming over a hill and you run to get on a boat that is leaving. The ship master says he does not know you (there is no relationship) and turns you away. You are terrified at that point knowing it is over and nothing can save you. Not your good works, not your money, your friends, your intellect, your reputation, not even God. Salvation cannot be earned,

That is the experience of an unbeliever when his/her life ends or any unbeliever that is still here for the return of Jesus.

There is good news however. If you are reading this, it is not too late!

There is a difference between knowing of someone and having an actual friendship. There are people in an apartment building for example, that you say hello to politely each day and probably know their name. In fact you could know a lot about them as well. If you went to their door and said you wanted to live there, they would say no, they do not know you.

The word repent means to change your direction. It is your thinking and beliefs that determine your direction. Jesus started his ministry with the message of repentance first. There is a profound change that happens when you do not make excuses and are willing to see yourself as you really are. God often makes things difficult when there is a call to repentance, so that you do not go over a cliff.

The command is to repent and ask God for forgiveness. There is a change in behavior and words, that is noticeable and persistent, when true repentance happens. The opposite of repentance is excuses, blame, pride, hypocrisy, and stubborn denial.

There are two doors that close. The first is the end of your life when you leave this world. The second door is the one to heaven that closes if you have no real relationship with Jesus.

Can you honestly say that Jesus is more important than absolutely anything else?

Most people do not make it to heaven. “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. -Matthew 7:13

Eternity Is Approaching Fast

This world is a temporary place that God has created, giving you a fixed amount of time to turn to the Lord. Do not make more of this world than what it is! The world system is spiritually dead and opposes God. It will keep you bound unless you turn to God.

This is life for rent. None of the riches or anything else here is really yours. Jesus said all the gold and all the silver is mine. Your very life however is what is in play.

The present creation is now passing away at a faster rate and you will perish with it as well if you are not in the Ark. You cannot live in two worlds. It is in the dark times when the grace of God is even more abundant.

What I can tell you after 25 years as a Christian is that God loves you, knows your past, and where you are now. Make peace with God through Christ Jesus for the new and everlasting life. Know peace, healing, truth, and relationship with God before it is too late. Do not harden your hearts and resist the Lord when he knocks at your door.

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away”
-Matthew 24:35

Christianity is not a religion. It is a faith-based relationship with Jesus Christ.

False Teachers Can Destroy Your Faith

There is nothing more important than knowing the truth. For example, say you are traveling somewhere with your family, and you arrive at a fork in the road. There is a man there that seems trustworthy. He speaks to you with kindness and concern, telling you that you must stay left since there have been reports of a band of marauders attacking and killing people on the other road. He tells you to stay left, calls you friend, and assures you all will be fine. The problem is you were just deceived, and in fact there is a killer waiting to ambush you on the road going left.

Jesus warns us in Matthew 24 and emphasized how deception would be rampant in this time where we are now.

Lies have the power to destroy you if you believe them, and live your life based on the lies. So the question as a Christian is how do you know if what you are being taught is 100% the truth? You should not believe half-truths either since they are designed to lead you astray and even more difficult to discern.

Christianity without relationship is religion. Start with loving the truth from your heart and wanting to know the truth. God knows if you love the truth. How do you know what truth is and what is sound doctrine?

The most important point is going to a reliable source. Sometimes others are really telling you what they think and believe. Without learning to read scripture for yourself you won’t ever know. The holy spirit is the real teacher. But before all that, you must have relationship with God through Jesus.

“All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. -John 14:25

So start with praying for proper discernment, revelation and truth so you are not deceived. God is relational and wants to speak to you. Without relationship you cannot discern what is truth and thereby reject false teaching.

Let God also lead you to reliable sources and warn of false teachers. We all start with listening to pastors whether it is the Christian channel or a local church. My strong recommendation is to start with prominent online pastors such as Joseph Prince, Perry Stone, and Baruch Korman for best results.

Learn to listen to the holy spirit for knowledge and understanding. Meditate as you read and verify if what is being said aligns with the word of God. Read several chapters before a quoted scripture and several chapters after to get CONTEXT. Extremely important to do your truth check. Context is crucial to interpreting scripture correctly and knowing the truth. The bible interprets itself.

For example, someone tells you a Christian has already repented and done with sin since they are now a believer. The problem is if you read in book of revelation where Jesus tells the churches to repent then that does not add up. The truth is Christians will repent after being saved. Paul talks about the struggles with sin in Romans 7. So read all of the new testament yourself and you will be prepared to question false doctrine.

Another false doctrine is if someone tells you the poor go to heaven since Jesus mentions that in the beatitudes. You cannot be a blessing to others when afflicted with poverty. If you are saved by grace alone then your bank account is irrelevant. Are there not poor people that are evil and unrepentant?

Another false doctrine is that salvation is based in part on your efforts concerning works of the law. Salvation cannot be earned since it is a free gift (Ephesians 2:8). The work of salvation has already been done at the cross, so your efforts have no effect. Your part is to firstly believe that, and then strive to live a life of faith and obedience.

You are called to faith and not the law. Your salvation does not give you a license to sin. In fact, as a believer you will resist sin whereas before you did not care. So believe in the salvation you have, repent when you need to, and trust in the Lord. Keep it simple. Jesus Christ and him crucified is the love of God. Often the stumbling block for Christians is believing in their heart that Jesus really loves them and wants a relationship with them as an individual.

End of the Age Is Here: Are You Ready?

What Happens When You Die?

The world would love to know and ponders this mystery that cannot be solved until you pass. That is not true. Jesus was asked this question by his disciples.

“There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’

‘No, father Abraham, he said, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’ -Luke 16:19

So we know from this scripture that the rich man went to hell. He knew he was there, was in torment, and could see others in the kingdom of heaven. This is not to say that poor and middle class individuals do not go to hell since your bank account is not the deciding factor. Do you love God more than anything else and have faith?

The rich man loved the world and received his comfort while also ignoring the suffering of others. The beggar also died and went to heaven. Scripture says that the angels carried him to heaven so we know that happens as well. It is interesting how people on their death bed report seeing angels near their time of departure. So God is not concealing what happens On the contrary, he had made it plain what happens when you die. Mystery solved.
